On April 9th, the union held a one-day strike of Aramark’s operations at the Wells Fargo Center. Hundreds of workers hit the picket lines outside the stadium.

Following the strike, Aramark requested to resume negotiations. The company’s latest proposal offers concessions stand employees—the largest department of workers—a 25 cent raise.

Aramark earned more than $18 billion in revenue last year. You don’t need to look further than the prices Aramark charges its customers to see the impact of inflation.

What Now?

The union’s contracts with Aramark at Lincoln Financial Field and Citizens Bank Park have already expired. The Sixers play-off season is only beginning.

This dispute will only grow until Aramark is prepared to come to the table with an offer that meets our members’ needs. We will not settle for less than we are worth.
